Mono-Printing Workshop
10:30am — 3:30pm
10:30am — 3:30pm
Learn how leaves like oak, maple, sycamore, ferns and small berries can successfully, under certain conditions, be flattened and monoprinted onto recycled papers with the use of pressing, rolling and a bit of creative energy. Subtle or well-defined prints can be achieved by providing beautiful tones and delicate textural marks. You will take home samples of papers and 1-2 finished A4 mono-prints.
This a full day course in order to fit in all of the basic skills required to achieve good results for yourselves at home. We look at preparing papers, collecting and storing the best botanics for this process, the role of flattening, layout and design options, successful laying out of the foraged botanics, the inking process, and aftercare of your projects.
Whether you want a relaxing creative day or you want to learn the basic techniques to try out at home - this one-day workshop will help you to achieve successful and reliable results.
This course will give you an excellent grounding in the principles and practice of botanical contact ['eco'] mono-printing.
