National Children’s Gardening Week is a UK-wide celebration that encourages children to discover the joys of gardening. Held at the end of May, it aligns with warmer weather, allowing young gardeners to see quick results from their efforts.
At One Garden Brighton, we're marking the week with a series of simple, hands-on activities designed to inspire curiosity and a love for nature. Children can engage in planting sessions, explore the garden through interactive tasks, and enjoy our specially designed activity book, available for free throughout the garden.
These activities aim to foster a connection with the environment, teaching children about the importance of plants and how they contribute to our ecosystem. By participating, children not only learn gardening skills but also gain a sense of responsibility and accomplishment.
