No Dig Workshop
4:00pm — 5:00pm
4:00pm — 5:00pm
Join our Plumpton Horticulture team and learn about the art of No Dig. This sustainable method of gardening reduces carbon emissions. By not disturbing the soil, No Dig ensures biodiversity of micro-organisms and fungi. With No Dig, you can reduce the fuss, making it great for time-short growers.
Join us to celebrate our walled garden. With a series of talks, seminars, signings and workshops, we're encouraging people to connect with the great outdoors and celebrate gardens big and small.
As Plumpton College's centre of horticultural excellence, we want to raise awareness of routes into horticulture. Gardening Week will offer garden inspiration, knowledge and inspiration from top gardeners in the field.
We celebrate local growers practicing sustainable horticulture methods. Come along to our talks and learn more about the ways contemporary gardeners are becoming more sustainable. Our gardens are full of unusual and exotic species. At our Gardening Week, you can meet and learn with the people that care for them. From No Dig to the Art of Mossballs, our calendar is bursting with tools and tricks for a flourishing garden.
This event is part of our community outreach. Whilst most of our Gardening Week events are free to all, some will have a fee to cover the costs of materials. One Garden Brighton supports the local community to build skills and inspire sustainable change. We are a space for local people to connect and enjoy nature. We welcome community groups to use the gardens and historic buildings for their events and workshops, as well as utilising our expert teams to learn more about the benefits of being in a green space.
