October Half Term

Pumpkin Carving at One Garden Brighton

We have an abundance of family-friendly fun this October, from spooky trails to art competitions. With local bespoke autumnal gifts available in the market and seasonal treats, what's not to love?

It's time to crack out the woolly jumpers and boots, to enjoy the garden in all its autumnal glory.

Kicking off October, we have the much-loved Makers Fair(link) returning on the 1st and 2nd of the month. With Christmas just around the corner, why not support local businesses with some seasonal gifts?

We also have an array of workshops to get you feeling cosy this autumn whilst learning a new skill or pursuing a passion. Nothing is more autumnal than spending the day making a pumpkin centrepiece or learning about nature. With this time of year being so stunning, why not dip your toes into the world of botany to discover the intricacies of mother nature?

Half-term is jam-packed with spooky activities to keep the family entertained. Remember, as always, One Garden Brighton is free to enter and all we ask is a small donation towards some activities.

  • There is a spooktacular garden trail with the chance to win a small prize.
  • Get creative with our art competition running in the Atrium (just next to the market) daily throughout the week. Go and draw at your leisure; the best drawing wins a family ticket to a Christmas experience.
  • If crafts are your thing, join us for spooky activities.

We are also hosting Wildfest on Saturday 29th, a free, family-friendly festival.

This is an inclusive community festival to honour our amazing and unique environment. With live performances from the group 'Shakespeare in Italy' as well as music, dance and demonstrations it will be a glorious celebration of nature! There will also be the opportunity to shop at environmentally-themed stalls.

With bonfire night then just around the corner, don’t forget to stock up on those essentials from our Butchery counter, and enjoy a seasonal coffee whilst you shop?

We look forward to welcoming you!
