A new Changing Places toilet has opened at One Garden Brighton.

The new facilities have a height-adjustable bench, ceiling track hoist, height-adjustable sink and extra space for carers.

Maintained by Plumpton College, the new toilet will be open between 9:30am and 5pm during the summer and 9:30am and 4:30pm in the winter. Anyone wishing to use them should ask for the key in One Market.

Thanks to funding from the council’s Carbon Neutral Fund, the toilets also have motion sensor lighting, taps and hand driers, reducing electricity and water consumption.

These facilities have been installed with support from Plumpton College, in association with Muscular Dystrophy UK and have been funded by UK Government.

Two more Changing Places toilets will be opening at Preston Park and St Ann’s Well Gardens in late spring / early summer.
