Outdoor Theatre Returns to One Garden Brighton: A Day of Family Fun with Jemima Puddle-Duck
- 15 June 2025
This summer, bring the family together for a magical day out at One Garden Brighton, as we welcome the return of outdoor theatre to our Walled Garden.
On Tuesday 12th August 2025, join us for a joyful, heartwarming performance of The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck, lovingly brought to life by the acclaimed Quantum Theatre. With two showings — 1pm and 3.30pm — there’s plenty of time to pick your moment, pack a picnic and settle in for a charming afternoon.
There’s something truly special about live theatre in the open air — especially when surrounded by summer blooms and wide green lawns. It’s relaxed, inviting and perfect for a day out with the kids, or even a nostalgic treat for grown-up Beatrix Potter fans.
Whether you’re stretching out on a picnic blanket or settling in with a sandwich from One Market or One Kitchen, the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. No velvet curtains or rows of seats here — just a garden full of smiles and storytelling.
This delightful adaptation of Beatrix Potter’s classic tale follows the kind-hearted but determined Jemima Puddle-Duck as she searches for a quiet place to lay her eggs — and ends up in rather suspicious company. There’s humour, music, and just enough adventure to keep little ones wide-eyed from start to finish.
Quantum Theatre are known for their creative, family-friendly productions that make classic tales feel fresh while staying true to their charm.
