The fresh buds of May mark the start of National Gardening Week run by the UK’s leading gardening charity, the Royal Horticultural Society! To coincide with the coronation, the theme for National Gardening Week in 2023 is ‘create your coronation container’ to celebrate His Majesty King Charles III and his love of horticulture.

National Gardening Week  serves as a celebration of the natural  world and the abundance of benefits that gardening provides from fresh produce to mental wellbeing.

With a series of talks, seminars, signings and workshops, we're encouraging people to connect with the great outdoors and celebrate gardens big and small. Whether you've got a garden teeming with big and beautiful plants or a single window box with its own biodiverse ecosystem there's something for everyone.

Discover the beauty of British flowers with Ben Cross of Crosslands Nursery specialising in British grown alstroemeria, meet the author of much loved book The Little Growers Cookbook, Julia  Parker or demystify aeroponics with Seedleaves. Maybe even try your hand at beautiful houseplants with a twist with Brighton based house plant specialist, Between Two Thorns.

From #NoDig to planting wildflowers, our calendar is bursting with sustainable tools and tricks for a flourishing garden. Gardening Week will offer garden inspiration, knowledge and inspiration from top gardeners in the field. Come along to our talks and learn more about the ways contemporary gardeners are becoming more sustainable. Our gardens are full of unusual and exotic species. At our Gardening Week, you can meet and learn with the people that care for them.
