Learn how to capture the intricate details of fungi and other natural subjects, using techniques that work for both smartphones and digital cameras. No experience or specialist equipment required—just bring your curiosity!

During this session, you’ll develop essential photography skills that can be applied both in nature and at home, with a focus on lighting, composition, and post-production to enhance your images.

About the Workshop

This workshop will cover:

  • Lighting techniques – making the most of natural and artificial light
  • Framing and composition – how to create eye-catching images
  • Finding your subject – where and when to look for fungi
  • Basic post-production – simple edits to enhance your photography

For those with more experience, there will also be the chance to explore advanced techniques such as focus stacking and post-production workflows.

This is a practical, outdoor-based session. Appropriate footwear is required, and waterproofs may be needed depending on the weather.
